Otter Grown Roses...

At Otter Nurseries
we are pleased to grow
over 150 varieties of roses,
which are just perfect,
as the rose has long
been voted Britain's
favourite flower.

Enjoyed for their sheer beauty and often heavenly perfume there is a type of rose for every garden. With such diversity, let us help you select the right rose for your garden.

Choose bush varieties for planting in beds and borders. They come in two types, Hybrid Tea which offer a single, well shaped large flower on each stem or Floribunda which have clusters of flowers on each stem to give an
overall mass of colour.

Patio roses are the perfect choice if you want to keep your rose in a container or to plant in a small border as they do not grow too large.

Shrub roses are less formal and more open growing which mix well with other shrubs and plants, and are perfect for cottage garden style planting. They offer a superb variety of flowers and have attractive hips and foliage.

Ground cover roses are perfect for covering up banks and awkward areas and act as a colourful choice of weed suppressant!

Climbers add that vertical interest to the garden and are ideal for training up trellis arches, around the front door and hiding unsightly boundaries.

Our collection of over 30 David Austin old English and shrub roses includes many favourites like The Generous Gardener loved as a thornless climbing rose with dark green foliage and highly fragrant, double, pale-pink flowers.

Also Gertrude Jekyll, which is a delightful shrub rose with clusters of heavily scented, double, dark-pink flowers in summer and autumn.

Celebration roses always make an ideal living gift suitable for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and any special day where the beauty of a rose will remind you of the occasion.
